Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required to attend performances until further notice. (Boosters are not currently required, but are very strongly advised.)

Dear Cabaret Friends and Family,

As new variants continue to arise, providing a safe space for artists, staff and audiences is imperative for all performance venues, including The Cabaret, to remain sustainable. After experiencing 516 days of being unable to present indoor performances, we continue to carefully balance the safety of our audiences, staff, and artists with the concerns of privacy and individual freedom.

Given this, we will be requiring audiences to be fully vaccinated and to wear masks so that everyone who visits our venue can feel as safe as possible, given our current public health situation.

The national and international artists slated to perform at The Cabaret are making it clear that they expect this level of safety precaution to perform here. While performing on our stage, they are unable to wear masks to protect themselves. Some have young children unable to be vaccinated. None can risk losing weeks away from work – especially after experiencing more than a year without it. Our artists deserve to feel safe, just as we all do.

We will be working to make this as easy, seamless, and friction-free as possible. Hopefully, these temporary policies will help to keep our audiences, artists, staff, and volunteers safe. Leaving all personal and political views aside, your cooperation helps to ensure that The Cabaret can keep its doors open; continue bringing you world-class performances, ensure that artists can earn a living again and that our staff and vendors are employed.

Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

Shannon Forsell, Artistic Director & CEO at The Cabaret

Safety at The Cabaret depends on us all. Here’s what we’re counting on from you:

Proof of vaccination

Proof of vaccination will be required to attend all performances at The Cabaret until further notice. Only guests who are fully vaccinated will be permitted to attend.

“Full vaccination” means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized double-dose vaccines or that 14 days have passed since receiving the sole dose of FDA or WHO authorized single-dose vaccines.

To make it as streamlined as possible, as well as to offer options for those concerned with privacy, guests may present vaccine verification in one of the following ways:

  • A digital photo of your vaccine card shown via smartphone – along with a photo ID
  • The physical vaccine card – along with a photo ID
  • An official government certificate of vaccination. (Indiana residents may click here to access a certificate of vaccination.)
  • The My Bindle app – shown via smartphone:
    • Download the Bindle app on your device by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device and search for “My Bindle.”
    • To create an account you will need: a profile photo/selfie and a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card.
    • Open “My Bindle” and set up your account by uploading your profile photo and entering your information.
    • As a final step, you’ll be prompted to type in a verification code that is sent to your email.
    • In the menu on the bottom of the screen, click on “My Certificates,” then tap the “+” button to upload a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination record card or a recent negative test result.
    • When you arrive at The Cabaret, please open the app and our staff will view your vaccine certificate and photo ID via the “My Certificates” tab.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time we cannot accept the “My Passes/Entry Pass” in My Bindle, only the proof of vaccination & photo ID located in the “My Certificates” tab.

Mask up

Per CDC Guidelines, masks are required to be always worn (over the nose and mouth), regardless of vaccination status, except while actively eating and drinking.  Face shields and gaiters are not approved alternatives to face masks.  Complimentary masks will be made available at the door as needed.

If you are feeling ill, stay home

If you’re feeling ill or have symptoms related to a cold or infectious disease, please stay home.

Visitor Conduct

All visitors are required to follow The Cabaret’s policies. Verbally abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or threatening statements or behavior toward staff and other visitors is prohibited. We reserve the right to require visitors whose conduct violates these policies to leave the premises immediately.

Here’s what you can count on from us:

  • Fully vaccinated staff, artists, food service staff, and volunteers
  • All staff, food service staff, and volunteers will always remain masked
  • A state-of-the-art needlepoint bi-polar ionization air sanitizing system
  • Restrooms with touch-free faucets, toilet, soap dispensers, and paper towel dispensers
  • Hand sanitizer stations with a 60%+ alcohol content placed throughout the indoor and outdoor venues
  • Increased theater cleanings with ongoing cleanings of high-touch areas
  • Contactless tickets, as usual. Simply give your reservation name to the Patron Services Associate at the check-in table upon arrival.
  • Removal of intermission during performances to reduce congestion in common spaces and bathrooms
  • Reduced seating capacity to provide more space between tables
  • Private tables.
    • We made you a promise and we’re sticking to it: for your comfort and safety, we are not seating unaffiliated parties together unless requested. This significantly reduces our seating capacity and income and makes it more difficult for others to get a seat for our world-class performances. So, how can you help? Consider sitting with a familiar face at the show!
      • Reserve your seats together or let us know you would like to sit with another party and we can open up a table for other guests!
      • Tickets will be sold in increments of two or four.

Ticket exchange policy

  • All ticket buyers will be sent a pre-performance email with current health and safety protocols.
  • Those who cannot meet the theater’s requirements or need to cancel due to health & safety concerns may request a credit to their account – to be used within the same calendar year – no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled performance.
  • Those who cancel within 72 hours prior to the performance, may exchange their tickets to another performance within the same calendar year for a $5 processing fee per ticket.
